Ok, I have seen this post going around about this VICK guy and his dog fights.
Albeit, it is tragic, these animals are suffering creatures just like all mamals and creatures on this planet.

But it brings to questions if Pit Bulls are a socially accepted pet? Are they to be domesticated, or turned strictly to collectors. There are people who have Tigers, Pumas, and stuff.

These dogs were bread generation to generation as weapons of war. Their jams lock with the force of a trap! Is it 1500 lbs? I may be wrong.

So YES VICK should be held accountable for animal abuses, and punished severely, monetarily. He is rich, he covets his possessions, and will never have it again. Prison is too easy... And does nothing but make us as a society PAY for HIS crime. I am tired of paying for the fuck ups of others. $25,000 a year to house an inmate in some prisons. This is more than most people make a year!

So, ban the dogs from public domain, limit them to trained handlers. I live in a small town, and I see people walking these dogs around like, well, poodles or something. Like, it's harmless, they have control. Nothing personal, but animals are much like people. They lose control without or without reason.

Twice in my town have people been pauled (Within the last 6 months), one to death and one critically, by dangerous animals. In a population of less than 23,000, thats a high %... With the potential growing greatly with every purchase, or birth of these animals.

I know I may offend some owners, I am by no means saying kill them. But regulate them, have some certificates attached to the handling of the animal. You have to have a license to drive a car, and you should to own something that is that of a lethal capacity. Guns require permits.

So lets Take VICKS cash and houses, and being building a structure in which these animals can exist peacefully, and for leisure without threat to society.
